This Privacy Policy explains how DW Solutions AB (“Afloat”, “we”, “us”) collects, uses, and protects your information when you use the Afloat maintenance application for boats, available on the web, desktop, and mobile.
We only collect the information needed to provide the service. This includes:
Afloat contains no third-party advertising, analytics, or tracking SDKs. We do not collect your location, contacts, photos library, or device identifiers for advertising. We do not sell your data, and we do not use your maintenance data for any purpose other than providing the service to you.
As a Swedish company, we process personal data under the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR). Our legal bases are:
Your data is stored on secure servers within the European Union. Passwords are stored only in hashed form, connections are encrypted in transit, and access to production systems is restricted to authorised personnel. While no system can be guaranteed perfectly secure, we take reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect your information.
We do not sell or rent your personal data. We share data only with infrastructure providers who host the service on our behalf (for example, cloud hosting and storage), and only to the extent necessary to operate Afloat. These providers act as processors under written agreements and are bound to keep your data confidential. We may also disclose information where required by law.
We retain your account and content for as long as your account is active. When you close your account, or on request, we delete your personal data within a reasonable period, except where we are required to retain certain records for legal or accounting purposes.

You can request deletion of your account and all associated personal data at any time by emailing Daniel@dwsolutions.se from your registered address. We will confirm and complete the deletion within 30 days, subject to any legal retention requirements described above.
Afloat is a professional tool intended for businesses and adult boat operators. It is not directed at children, and we do not knowingly collect personal data from anyone under 16.
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will revise the “Last updated” date above and, where appropriate, notify you within the app. Continued use of Afloat after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
